“Creating the Central Trading District”
Binalonan is one of the growth areas in the 5th district of the province, being the center of Pangasinan II (comprising of the 4th, 5th, and 6th districts). This is the reason why the DepEd, NFA, COA, and other national offices are in Binalonan. Binalonan also boasts of prime real estate properties that other towns can only dream of, mostly within the town proper and the 9-hectare Juan G. Macaraeg/UEP grounds. On these strengths that Mayor Ramon “Mon-Mon” V. Guico III has drawn up the business plans for the town.
The emergence of a community mall is one of the definitive thrusts of the administration that will pave the road to economic progress and elicit different investments, trade, commerce and industry. At present, Mayor Mon-Mon has accepted the proposal of the Magic Group of Companies to establish a Binalonan Community Mall this 2013. The Mayor is just awaiting the authorization of the Sangguniang Bayan in order for him to sign an agreement with the said mall investor and operator. This new establishment will not only bring forth an estimated additional income of at least Two Million Pesos per year for the Municipal Treasury, but more importantly provide a sense of pride to Binalonaians that our town is indeed developing rapidly.
The municipal government has already drawn a blueprint for a commercial complex that will house several businesses and commercial enterprises. In fact, the municipality has opened the One-stop Shop for Business permits and licenses using the NCC’s electronics Business and Permits and Licensing System, making it more efficient and convenient for business owners to set up shop while at the same time dodging incidences of red tape.
Moreover, the newly constructed Binalonan Food Terminal and New Public Market are now attracting more local investors seen to generate additional revenues for the town.
